If you’re facing any problem connecting your laptop with a WiFi network in Windows. It must be in your knowledge that why your internet connection is interrupted. It might be an ISP side issue or a configuration problem of the network adapter. First of all, check your internet connection is working fine or it’s an ISP problem. If the network connection is working fine and your laptop WiFi is not getting connected to the router and showing only connecting.
Before applying any solution, make sure that the network driver is installed in your system. A network adapter driver is a program that allows connecting a network with your PC. How to Solve WiFi Network is Showing Connecting Error
Try to fix the problem by restarting your Wi-Fi router and try to connect. Just power off the WiFi router and switch on the router. If your system does not get connected to the router after restarting the Wi-Fi router, then you can forget the already connected network and try to reconnect again.
You can follow the below steps to forget.
- Step 1) Navigate the mouse pointer on the WiFi network icon.
- Step 2) Now right-click on the WiFi icon to select Network & Internet settings option.
- Step 3) Click on the WiFi option and select Manage known networks.
- Step 4) A list of all known networks will display, select the network which you want to forget, and click on forget.
- Step 5) Now enter the password and try to connect.
In case the above-given fixes don’t work for you then move on to the next.
Navigate on the WiFi icon and right-click on the Troubleshoot Problems to fix the problem by running Windows Network Diagnostics.
At last, you can reset the Wi-Fi adapter setting to the default and try to fix it. Open the windows command prompt and run as administrator.
Now type “netsh winsock reset” command in the command window and hit the enter button. and restart your system and try to connect.
